Exposure Recommendation
This LUT was developed and tested primarily on Sony cameras, including the FX3 and A7V.
For Sony shooters, I recommend exposing approximately +0.7 EV to +1.3 EV over your camera's metered exposure when possible. This approach helps produce cleaner shadows, smoother highlight rolloff, and the overall image characteristics this LUT was designed around.
If you shoot with another camera brand, expose according to the recommended practices for your specific camera and profile. The OneWay Filmic LUT is a creative LOOK LUT, not a technical conversion LUT, so it is designed to work across different camera systems as long as the footage is properly exposed and white balanced before application.

- This is a LOOK LUT, not a Log-to-Rec.709 conversion LUT.
- Works with most camera brands and color sciences.
- Best results come from properly exposed footage.
- Sony users may achieve the intended look most consistently by exposing around +0.7 EV or higher.
- Minor adjustments to exposure, contrast, and white balance may be required depending on your camera and shooting conditions.
